I am working on a literature review on Felon Disenfranchisement. This research has been interesting, and multitextured. Yesterday, I went to vote with my husband who was voting for the first time in his life. I felt unprepared as I realized I had not done my part in getting to know what each city council person was about. I have been raising awareness that felons can vote, and yet I failed to educate myself. I learned that it was not just enough to vote. I needed to make an educated vote.
